cenSE is owned by the University of Stavanger (UiS), the University of Agder (UiA), and the International Research Institute of Stavanger (IRIS) with more than 70 active registered researchers. cenSE’s R&D activities cover a combination of renewable energy and clean fossil-based energy, providing sustainable energy solutions with a focus on knowledge transfer from a strong petroleum sector in the region to new energy alternatives. cenSE welcomes collaborative initiatives from local and regional actors, as well as national and international authorities and organizations.
